THERE is no need to politicize president Hakainde Hichilema’s presence at the forthcoming Kuomboka Ceremony slated for this weekend, Chikondi Foundation founder Bishop John Mambo has said.
Bishop Mambo in an interview said people should stop using innuendoes over the presence of the head of state who had been invited at the event.
Bishop Mambo said that the Mwine Lubemba was on point because the traditional leader’s presence was not a threat to the Head of State.
He said that people needed to stop maligning the Head of State as if he was forcing himself on the Kuomboka when he was officially invited.
He said that the president had the right to attend any traditional ceremony just like he recently attended the Ncwala.
He said that it was wrong for people to spread falsehoods about the Head of State’s presence at the event.
He said that there was a need to stop causing confusion and foster peace among traditional leaders and the Government.
