SENGA Hill Member of Parliament Henry Sikazwe has disclosed that his constituency will soon have a fully-fledged filling station thanks to Safoz Energy Limited who are setting up a service station in the area.
Mr. Sikazwe said in an interview that this is the first time that his constituency will be having a filling station which is scheduled to be operational within two months.
He noted that this development had created employment for the people of his constituency and that more people would be employed once it was fully set up and operational.
“This is a good development for Senga Hill, a constituency which has never had such a facility before and we are optimistic that this is going to open up doors to even more development,” Mr. Sikazwe said.
He expressed optimism that many other different sectors in Senga Hill such as tourism, entertainment and agriculture were going to be enhanced because of this development.
He further called on other investors both local and international to go and invest in his constituency as there were many opportunities.
He said he had been impressed with how things in his constituency had been moving so far owing to the New Dawn Government’s favourable policies and thanked President Hakainde Hichilema and the Government for coming up with investor-friendly policies that had seen many investors come into the country.
And when asked about the security issues that had been a topic a year ago in Senga Hill where he had reported that there were no police presence in the constituency, Mr. Sikazwe said Senga Hill now had a police station fully functioning.
He added that there were 21 police officers that had been dispatched to his constituency which he said had led to the crime rates to go down.
