The Media Network on Child Rights and Development (MNCRD) has praised the government for its growing recognition of the importance of children’s participation in national matters.
In a telephone interview, MNCRD Executive Director Henry Kabwe expressed gratitude for the government’s efforts to involve children in national discussions. He expressed satisfaction that the government is taking steps to engage children in these issues.
“Child participation creates an environment where children can become better politicians as they grow up,” he stated.
He commended civil society for its efforts in poverty reduction and thanked the government for including children in national matters.
Mr. Kabwe urged the government to respect and address the concerns raised by children in public meetings. He also called on broadcasting companies to play a more significant role in promoting children’s issues to ensure that their voices are heard.
