CONSISTENCY in any form of business is far more important as it allows one to establish awareness, build trust and deliver services efficiently and profitably, Flying Foods limited Managing Director Misheck Tembo has said.
Mr. Tembo told The Scoop that many Zambian companies have growth potential to adequately contribute to wealth creation and that all that was needed was determination and consistency.
He explained that putting ideas together and ensuring effective implementation and consistency was important because without it, businesses were most likely to fail.
He said that through consistency, his business had grown and employed 62 local youths and that it was competently providing inflight meals to Proflight, Zambia Airways, Zambia Air Force, and the Kenya Airforce.
“Flying Food is a fully owned Zambian company incorporated in 2019 and is the first Zambian company to break into the Aviation industry. This means that Zambian companies have great potential and it is important for many more to explore this industry. What is needed is consistency. The idea of establishing Flying Foods Limited started from Kabwata and now we are celebrating having to employ 62 local youths,” Mr. Tembo said.
“Zambian companies should explore the aviation industry. We understand that airports could be stressful places. Delays, layovers and missed connections sometimes but without fear and ensuring consistency, it is possible to break through and contribute to national development,” he added.
He said every decision and action taken in a business should contribute to accomplishing a greater purpose for the business.
He said that a start-up or a small business could not afford to make terrible financial decisions based on inconsistent actions hence the need for commitment in being consistent with all decisions.
He further urged the Government to continue putting up measures supporting SMEs in the country and creating favourable business environments.
He added that collaboration among Zambian companies is also vital in growing the local businesses.
He noted that collaboration in provision of services to customers was important as it improved quality service delivery, thereby leading to wealth creation.
