ENSURING sustainable growth for businesses of different scales through robust initiatives is First National Bank (FNB’s) priority, the bank’s Head Business and Commercial Kabanda Lilanda has reiterated.
Mr. Lilanda told The Scoop that FNB was focused at being the bank of choice for the business community as it remained resolute towards providing different solutions to help businesses start, run, and grow.
He said that ensuring linkages and opportunities for information sharing among the business community was a priority.
He said that the effort of raising awareness on the finance solutions available for small and medium enterprises would be scaled up.
He explained that from July 2022 to September 2023, the bank had disbursed about K200 million loans to SMEs.
“As FNB Zambia, we remain committed to enabling sustainable growth for businesses of different scales through robust initiatives. The Bank is focused on being the bank of choice for the business community. From July 2022 to September 2023, FNB Zambia had disbursed about K200 million in loans to SMEs and we are committed to stretch further,” Mr. Lilanda said.
He said that the bank’s commitment towards providing support to the Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprises and all other sector players could not be over emphasized.
He said that FNB would be providing opportunities for efficiencies, growth, and ultimately an enabling environment for businesses growth.
“FNB Zambia would focus on supporting all businesses from SMEs to large corporations as it seeks opportunities that enhance the economy through support to the ministry of SMEs and the business community,” he said.
He stated that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) offered a range of products and services that contributed to the survivability and livelihoods of the stakeholders that relied on them.
