FORMER Religious Affairs Minister Godfridah Sumaili has urged the Church to speak out whenever there is injustice perpetrated by politicians both in the ruling and opposition parties.
Speaking in an interview, Rev Sumaili said the Church should fight for social justice.
“You know, I get surprised that some Church leaders who are very influential are not opening their mouth to speak for the people according to the word of God,” she said
Rev Sumaili added: “You have to tell the Government to do the right thing,” she said.
And Rev Sumaili has regretted the increment of fuel pump price.
“At a time when the cost of living is very high, at a time when unemployment is very high then you go ahead and start increasing the price of fuel, the price of electricity ” Rev Sumaili wondered
She said the Government must focus on the ordinary people. Meanwhile, Rev Sumaili has called for the construction of the National House of Prayers.
She said the National House of Prayer is one of the pillars of Zambia being a Christian Nation.
“The National House of Prayer is a Godly project, therefore, I urge everyone to please let us start that project. We can contribute our little resources,” she said.
