IT is nonsensical for the opposition to implicate me in the baseless issues of ferrying students from higher learning institutions to go and insult the former Head of State Edgar Lungu who was appearing at the Constitutional Court on Wednesday, presidential advisor to President Hakainde Hichilema Levy Ngoma has charged.

In an interview, Mr. Ngoma said he could not reduce himself to such levels of criminality because of politics and that he was too senior for that, adding that there were serious issues leaders of the opposition could direct their energy on as opposed to making unsubstantiated claims without any aorta of truth.

He said such useless propaganda could only be propagated by frustrated individuals who were only interested in bringing confusion and anarchy in the country adding that this was because it was very difficult for some people to accept that they were no longer in power, thereby missing what they used to do when they were ruling the country.

He said currently, the opposition in Zambia had nothing to offer to the Zambian people and that they had now resorted to sympathy-seeking to try and win the hearts of citizens.

He said because criminal acts were part of their DNA, some opposition elements still thought that even the UPND Government could fall into such cheap political criminality.

He said he was too busy to start involving himself in such useless moves, adding that President Hichilema did not preach hate speech and confusion as did those who lost power in 2021.

He advised the opposition political parties to concentrate on mobilizing their members and stop disturbing President Hichilema who means well for the people of Zambia.

“The challenge you have when you are dealing with criminals is that they always want to believe in their mind that everyone is a criminal therefore, I cannot do such a thing because I am above that,” Mr. Ngoma said.

According to PF, Mr. Ngoma was seen gathering students to denounce President Lungu when he appeared at court over his eligibility case. The students are said to have demanded for the removal of his immunity.
