PATRIOTIC Front (PF) Secretary General Raphael Nakacinda has offered an olive branch to party members who have suggestions or ideas that could positively impact the party to ensure they abide by the structural framework of the party.
Speaking to The Scoop, Mr. Nakacinda said suggestions like an indaba to do with reconciliation could not be objected to but could be considered.
Mr. Nakacinda stated that if the indaba was proposed for strategic purposes, it could not be debated in a bigger group but in a smaller one.
“It is unfortunate that sometimes we politicians make public pronouncements just playing to the gallery when the actual work on public meetings should be done behind the curtains,” Mr. Nakacinda said.
He added that the party could not be in a position to be debating such matters in the media but needed to sit in the background adding that ideas that were workable would be considered with no restrictions whatsoever.
And when contacted for a comment PF Vice President Given Lubinda said he could not respond in the press on matters raised by members of the party.
Mr Lubinda said party matters needed to be kept internally and not for the public as they were very serious issues that did not need to be known by the public.
PF National Chairperson, Davis Chama proposed that the party hold an indaba to honestly discuss party issues, in an attempt to remain united and strong ahead of the 2026 elections.
