MIXED Martial Arts (MMA) Zambia is confident that Zambia will perform wonders at the fourth-coming IMMAF Africa Championships in Windhoek, Namibia, from May 27 to June 2, 2024.
Announcing a team for the tournament, MMA Zambia president Benjamin Bush said the fighters have worked tirelessly to earn their spot in the national team.
“We are thrilled to announce this talented group of athletes who will proudly represent Zambia at the IMMAF Africa Championships,” said Bush, “These fighters have worked tirelessly to earn their spot on the national team, and we are confident in their abilities to make our nation proud on the continental stage.”
Bush, however, said MMA Zambia faces significant financial challenges in ensuring the team’s participation in the prestigious event.
“We are thrilled to announce this talented group of athletes who will proudly represent Zambia at the IMMAF Africa Championships,” said Benjamin Bush, President of MMA ZAMBIA. “These fighters have worked tirelessly to earn their spot on the national team, and we are confident in their abilities to make our nation proud on the continental stage.”
However, Mr Bush said MMA ZAMBIA faces significant financial challenges in ensuring the team’s participation in this prestigious event. “The organization is urgently appealing to potential sponsors and partners to come forward and support the Zambian National Amateur MMA Team’s journey to Namibia.
“Our athletes have the determination and skill to excel, but without adequate funding, their dreams and our nation’s pride may be left unfulfilled,” Bush added. “We implore businesses, organizations, and individuals to join us in empowering these incredible athletes and fostering the growth of mixed martial arts in Zambia.”
He said Interested sponsors and partners are encouraged to contact MMA ZAMBIA to discuss sponsorship opportunities and support packages.

Team receives the resources they need to compete at the highest level and bring glory to our nation,” he said.

Flyweight: Miracle Chipito (Ulemu)
Male:
Flyweight: Jonathan Banda (Spartan MMA), Daniel Maleba (Ulemu)
Bantamweight: Abraham Banda (WFC), Tryford Mwanga (WFC)
Lightweight: Portus Chama (Ulemu), Chipego Simukwa (Ulemu)
Featherweight: Jarcel Chimbwe (Ulemu), Killian Lungu (WFC)
Welterweight: Phillimon Banda (WFC), Bernard Chisenga (Kopola Warriors)
Middleweight: Kings Chilemu (Kabwe Top Team), Gilbert Ndlovu (Africa Top Team Zambia)
