ZAMBIA’S celebrated Reggae and Afro Dancehall recording artist Mukubesa Mundia, popularly known as Petersen Zagaze, says he misses the Zambia Premier Soccer League which is currently on recess.
Recounting on the aura of last season’s football drama and stadia frenzy, Mundia says he misses Zambian clubs, the local stadium atmosphere, the feeling of being around football cheering noise and chants, as well as the sounds of African drums.
He says he particularly misses the bustele, the songs, the rivalry drama, laughter and interactions within and outside the stadiums.
“I miss my usual spots like Nkoloma stadium, woodlands stadium and Edwin Imboela stadium. I miss the scotching sun of sunset stadium. I miss the few times I have been at Arthur Davis stadium in Kitwe. I miss seeing football fanatics like Kennedy Magrocer and them entertaining zed league supporters.
“I miss the ever noisy Nkana supporters both male and female. I miss the dangerous and self-proclaimed Elegant Dynamite of Muza FC, I miss watching the sensational Zanaco, the mighty flying Nkwazi, Napsa Stars; I miss Tonka Twende the team with one of the best football jerseys. I miss the smart playing Kabwe warriors, Maite (Mighty) and close to my favourite champions Red Arrows. I miss ‘Bola Yapa Zed’,” Mundia wrote.
“Power Dynamo is going to be without the entertaining ‘Budo’ but I know at the end of the day, aba yellow will still scream yes! Yes! Even this coming season. I am going to miss my new love Trident FC, but I know my all-time team Zesco United will keep me smiling like always: Zega Na Zaga! Zega Mambo! Team Ya Ziko. I miss Bola Yapa Zed,” he concluded.
