CHILANGA Cement PLC has reaffirmed its commitment to community development by donating over 1,500 bags of cement to Ndola Teaching Hospital.

This significant contribution has facilitated the construction and completion of roads within the hospital premises, enhancing access to vital health services for the community.

The last phase cement donation handover ceremony took place at Ndola Teaching Hospital, where Mr. Nason Kasoma, Deputy Plant Manager at Chilanga Cement’s Ndola Plant, officially presented the donation to Dr. Justor Banda, Senior Medical Superintendent and Head of Institution at Ndola Teaching Hospital.

Speaking during the event, Mr. Kasoma emphasized the company’s dedication to supporting health infrastructure development within the community and across the country.

“Chilanga Cement PLC is pleased to support initiatives that contribute to the well-being of our communities. By improving the infrastructure at Ndola Teaching Hospital, we are not only enhancing access to healthcare but also reinforcing our commitment to being responsible corporate citizens,” he said.

Dr. Banda expressed his heartfelt gratitude for the donation, underscoring its importance in improving the hospital’s infrastructure.

“This donation of 300 bags of cement for the final phase of the project, which includes roads to the mortuary and eye clinic, comes at a crucial time as we strive to provide quality healthcare services. We also appreciate the donation of 1,300 bags during the first phase, which has led to the completion of the internal roads, greatly enhancing access and convenience for patients, staff, and visitors alike,” he noted.

Chilanga Cement PLC under Huaxin remains steadfast in its mission to contribute positively to the communities in which it operates. This donation to Ndola Teaching Hospital is part of the company’s broader corporate social responsibility (CSR) initiatives aimed at fostering sustainable development in Zambia.
