THE government has partnered with Anchor Health Partners (NGO) to support the healthcare system aimed at strengthening health outcomes mainly for children and women.
Lusaka Provincial Administration Principal Public Relations Officer, Logic Lukwanda said the partnership is earmarked to start in the Rufunsa district before rolling it out to other centers to be selected in other provinces.
He said the partnership is anchored on equipment support, providing training and support, addressing logistics and sustainability concerns.
This, he said, was revealed when a three-member delegation led by Anchor Health Partners (NGO) Executive Director Rees Reiner paid a courtesy call on Lusaka Province Permanent Secretary Joe Kalusa to announce their program implementation in Rufunsa.
And Eng. Kalusa said the intervention by Anchor Health Partnership aligns with the Provincial Administration as Lusaka continues to face both challenges and opportunities in the healthcare sector, particularly in maternal and child health as well as primary healthcare delivery.
“It is always encouraging to see partners who share a vision for healthier, more empowered communities.
We recognize the valuable role that organizations such as yours play in supporting our healthcare delivery system,” he said.
