The InvestZambia2025 initiative is set to unlock Zambia’s economic potential, according to Humphrey Monde, the President of the United Federation of Employers in Zambia (UFEZ).
Mr Monde said that the event is expected to attract leading global investors, local enterprises, development partners, and government representatives, all of whom will come together to discuss and explore investment opportunities in key sectors.
The sectors include agriculture and agribusiness aimed at enhancing food security and value addition, mining and energy for sustainable mineral extraction and renewable energy development, as well as manufacturing and industrialization to boost local production and value chains, among others.
The conference will feature high-level panel discussions, B2B networking sessions, and investment matchmaking opportunities, facilitating meaningful engagement between local businesses and global investors.
“The InvestZambia2025 will serve as a strategic platform to attract Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), foster business linkages, and showcase Zambia as a leading investment destination in Africa,” said Mr. Monde.
The InvestZambia2025, an international investment conference, is scheduled to be held from April 15 to 17, 2025, in Livingstone, Zambia.
Mr. Monde emphasized that the government, through the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, fully supports the initiative. This aligns with Zambia’s National Development Agenda, which focuses on job creation, economic diversification, and industrial growth.
“To ensure the event’s success, the Ministry will provide high-level representation at the conference, engaging with international investors, business leaders, and industry stakeholders to promote investment opportunities across various economic sectors,” he said.
