MWANGALA LISULO SIKAZWE: FROM FINDING A PASSION TO FOUNDING TWO BUSINESS EMPIRES

Most successful entrepreneurs don’t leave success to chance. They always build on opportunities. And for, Mwangala Lisulo Sikazwe, the CEO and proprietor of not one but two business brands, Senergyze Solutions Enterprises (January 2015) and Pinkworth Store (since April 2019) located at Eastpark Mall near Shoprite Zambia, figuring out her niche market was essential process of starting her businesses as she wanted to provide a product and service that connects with target audience’s wants and needs.

Asked what was the inspiration behind the start of the business brands, Mwangala, who credits her success to her never-giving-up attitude, responded, “For Senergyze Solutions Enterprises it was when I was still working as Marketing Manager at the Mall. I started thinking about life after work, what will I be doing? I thought of setting my own business and took the request before God for direction. Prayed over it and God made a way for me. For He says in His Word that I will bless the works of your hands (Deuteronomy 28:12 and Psalms 90:17). I started branding corporate wear, corporate decor, supplying of goods and services etc”

“For Pinkworth Store it was when I first traveled to the USA in 2018 to visit my young sister, Nana, that I saw Victoria’s Secret and Bath & Body-Works shops. I just got glued to them and everytime I went out shopping with my sisters (Nana and Mutinta) I just wanted to shop from these shops especially that I didn’t know of anyone selling items like body mists, handbags, perfumes, under wears and that’s how I got inspired to open Pinkworth Store and started importing direct from them. By God’s Grace within the next few months of my return I opened the first kiost at Levy Mall and exactly a year later moved to Eastpark Mall”

Today under her visionary leadership and management, Mwangala, has managed to create and cement her entrepreneurship ambitions through the two business brands as they have seen exponential growth in their enterprise. “What separates Senergyze Solutions Enterprises and Pinkworth Store are the products and services we have on offer like; Corporate hampers, Corporate decor’, Corporate Branding, Corporate gift wrapping, Any occasion gift wrapping, Gift bags, Fruit hampers, Gift hampers, Birthday hampers, Wedding hampers, Chilanga mulilo hampers, Kitchen party hampers, Perfume gift sets. We also stock perfumes, roll-ons for both Male and Female, Under wears, Makeup bags, Lipsticks, Lipglosses. Not only do we stock Victoria’s secret and Bath & Body works mists we also stock a good number of different types of designer body mists”

Asked on challenges faced since the two businesses started, she responded, “Theft was the first challenge, employing people that have wrong motives is always a mistake. I also realized that remote control business was a mistake especially if you don’t have a good system in place ie POS, random stock taking, CCTV, etc. Another mistake was not being on a salary I would use money whenever I wanted. Now that am full time entrepreneur I work with the girls everyday unless am off site doing other official duties. We now have an accountant (3 years) who is our Son Elijah Mparuri. He is very strict and handles the business account, purchasing, salaries, payment of rentals. This year I travelled to the USA for a vacation and also to buy new stock – Elijah and the two ladies Faith and Sabrina managed the business without any losses to the Glory Of The Lord”
