UNITED Party for National Development (UPND) Lusaka Provincial Chairman Obvious Mwaliteta has appealed to Zambians to continue supporting President Hakainde Hichilema’s good policies adding that the Head of State has delivered beyond people’s expectations and that the country is yet to see more developmental projects.

Mr. Mwaliteta advised Zambians to take a keen interest in the unprecedented developmental projects that the UPND administration was doing adding that the opposition political parties were not providing creditable checks and balances but mere rhetoric because their wish was to see President Hichilema fail.

He stated that he was aware of some political leaders who had been talking only to earn political mileage and that such sentimental political naives will not be taken seriously because they were misleading the masses especially people in rural areas who did not have access to information.

“It is very sad to learn that some political parties were busy misleading the masses in the name of issuing checks and balances instead of giving credit where it is due. However, President Hichilema has delivered to the people of Zambia since he assumed office and needs the support from every Zambian to drive the developmental agenda,” Mr. Mwaliteta.

He noted that President Hichilema had worked so tirelessly to ensure that cadres were removed from streets, markets, and bus stations across the country.

The UPND Lusaka strongman also praised President Hichilema for increasing allocation towards the Constituency Development Fund (CDF) which he said had benefited a lot of youths who had ventured into various income generating activities.

“President Hichilema has managed to put a smile on the face of many youths who are now able to set up their own personal businesses after receiving CDF and this has seen the disappearance of cadres from markets and bus stations. I urge youths to continue putting CDF to good use,” he said.
