Today, the TUNGANI brand, not only points to how far it has come, but to where it is going, as seen from some of Zambia’s notable celebrities donning her designs, including M-Nation’s boss lady, Mutale Mwanza, Jemima Bweupe Female Voice and the talented talk host/presenter, Helen Phiri.
MERIT MALAMBO MALILWE – Riding on her niche market phrase, ‘we eat with our eyes first’, she has struck gold with her cake making empire, Meritorious Cakes & Baked Goodies, which is found in Kaoma of Western province.
Under her leadership and management, the cake making business has seen exponential growth in its enterprise, having started off as a little-known business.
The speed and quality in delivery, from when the order has been placed, coupled with some amazing customer service as the selling point, has helped her business expand in a short span of time making it the most sought after in the cake making business. Today, the business not only points to where it’s going, but how far it has come.
MEMORY MUTALE – When it comes to helium balloon decor that speaks volumes, look no further than this female entrepreneur who has taken balloon decor to the next level. She is the founder and CEO at Stunning Decor, an event planning business located in Chelstone, off palm drive road.
The brand fuses fashion, poetry and motivational deco-creations using helium balloons that bring out what is undoubtedly an entrepreneurial powerhouse.
Her impressive portfolio of sleek event planning designs points to one thing, and one thing only, she has the skills and experience required to plan and create designs that will capture the attention of any targeted audience.
And with her industry knowledge, she has managed to turn her client’s vision to life with immersive experiences. A truly versatile and creative young lady she is.
MAINESS MUMBA – Best known as ‘Iron Lady’ for her never giving up attitude, she is the CEO and proprietor of Mai’s Collection an online business (Facebook, Instagram and Tik Tok platforms) that deals in the sale of aura cleansing salts and a clothing line business since 2016.
Her inspiration to venture in to the selling of aura salts was and is still is to help people have control of their spirituality, help them to attract what belongs to them and cleansing away of negative energy like witchcraft, coming out of debt, bad luck, rejection, stagnation, and cleansing away from soul ties.
Under her visionary leadership, and despite facing criticism when she started, the business has against all odds helped more than 5000 people in Zambia.
Her future plans are to open stores countrywide offering wholesale and retails for the products (aura salts) in order to give room for small businesses to order and make double profit through her business.
GRACE MITI – She is the CEO and proprietor of Beverly Hills Innovations and Farms, who is among a growing number of young women helping to redefine what the future of agriculture in Zambia looks like. For over 4 years, she has been running her poultry business in Chibombo district, Mwachisompola area, which has cemented its brand name as the most sought after. She has also added the sale of good quality second hand clothes which are unique and affordable.
She is not only bringing fresh ideas and innovative solutions to the agricultural and poultry table but also leveraging the market space to gain a competitive edge.
