Libala Baptist Church Pastor Mwila has urged parents to prioritize teaching their children self-control to become positive role models within the community.
Highlighting the detrimental impact of negative influences on children, the clergy stresses the need for parents to monitor their children closely.
The clergy has since appealed to parents to be vigilant in safeguarding their children and to actively combat the influence of harmful substances on the youth.
“l urge parents to take charge of their children and educate them on the importance of self-control.
What is happening to the young generation leaves much to be desired. In the past, a child was all for the community and could be told the dos and don’ts, and therefore, as parents, let us normalize teaching our children self-control so that they are role models,” he said.
Pastor Mwila emphasized the crucial role of the church in advocating for the protection of the voiceless in society.
The clergy asserts that the church must not waver in providing guidance and instilling good morals among the youth, given the concerning state of the younger generation.
Pastor Mwila calls for strict enforcement of the country’s laws and emphasizes the accountability of lawmakers in implementing them effectively.
He expressed lack of action and calls for the upholding of laws that can shape the moral fabric of the young generation in Zambia.
In addition, he emphasizes the need for the church to advocate for stringent laws to protect the well-being of the people.
