MINISTER of Education Douglas Syakalima has charged that vulnerable learners will receive CDF bursaries.
He said the move was aimed at recognizing the importance of boarding facilities that are currently being constructed by the government.
Mr. Syakalima said the Government was currently constructing 45 weekly boarding facilities across the country to support learners who cannot access nearby secondary schools.
He said the facilities would operate as full-fledged boarding secondary schools, ensuring learners were protected from social vices such as teenage pregnancies and drug abuse.
He said through the government’s efforts to reach the most underserved and disadvantaged communities, the Ministry is constructing 145 satellite centers this year, that were designed to expand learning opportunities in remote areas and ensure equitable access to education.
